 by Tom McMullanApril gets started with Aries fire scorching everything in its path. The ruling planet Mars, enters its own sign and connects to unstable Uranus to add more potential explosiveness. The first part of this month is not a time for the weak and timid. To quote Ted Turner... ... “lead, follow, or get out of the way”. The New Moon in Aries on the 3rd adds to the mix creating potential recklessness, impulsiveness, or hopefully, sudden breakthroughs. It’s time to leave the past behind and move forward. But with Mercury in Aries retrograde, there could be missteps in communication since instinct overruns reason in times like these. Be careful driving and definitely don’t drive under any emotional stress or anger. Mars conjunct Uranus allows much originality and innovation, but on the flip side can cause rebellious and destructive action. The energy this month mirrors the behavior of a rebellious teenager who wants to express himself independently yet break all of the rules. Since the parental planet of Saturn opposes this fiery teen, somebody could get into a lot of trouble. On April 4th, Neptune enters its own sign of Pisces, asking us to look at the big picture, and to make sure our passion becomes compassion and not just self gain. When the Moon goes full on the 17th in Libra, we begin to realize that compromise and cooperation are how wars get settled eventually. Reason should return when Mercury goes direct on the 23rd, and the energy will downshift to a lower gear when the Sun enters Taurus on the 20th. |
