Well, I’m back from my Australian
Tour and I thought a good theme for November is “growth”. While in
Australia I learned many lessons and one of them is to not get stuck in
a place of comfort in life and fight change. It’s the holiday season
and Thanksgiving has just passed so ask yourself what you are thankful
for and what would you like to change in your life?
Since I use
myself as an example when writing my books I’ll stick with that
classroom. This year I let go of some relationships that only brought
difficulty to my life. Although this is never easy it’s important for
healthy living that you not get bogged down in other people’s drama.
This
year I also reconnected with people from my past, which is wonderful.
Because my life is so busy I find it important to surround myself with
upbeat, effervescent people who have their own life and don’t need to
live through me nor do they resent my hectic schedule.
In
addition to changing some of the people around me I’ve decided to start
touring and giving talks as well as helping people to understand their
own abilities better. I must admit I’ve resisted this idea for a few
years but a friend of mine named John kept encouraging me to do so and
I think he’s right. I’m very nervous about the idea of larger forums
and mass book signings but I have to take my own advice and take that
leap of faith.
So, wish me luck and I will do the same for you.
Try writing down your thoughts on this subject and sort out your life
and what will bring you fulfillment. Being clear on what you want out
of life and who you want to be.
