5 Ways to Connect with Your Loved Ones in Spirit

Hey, Loves! I hope you’re having a fabulous month so far! 🙂

April reminds me of many delightful things, including:

  • Springtime
  • Renewal & Rebirth
  • Cleansing
  • Easter
  • Bunnies!

There’s also a couple of highly-significant anniversaries for me in April, one not exactly “delightful”:

  1. The day I quit my job to be a self-employed spiritual entrepreneur
  2. The day my father passed away (which comes exactly one day after the first).

Each year, I take the anniversary of my fathers passing off from work.

I mute all notifications on my phone and unplug from the computer to honor and remember my Dad in whatever way feels right to me, which typically includes honoring my grief with a good cry followed by spending the rest of the day enjoying quality time with him.

The fact that my father is no longer here in physical form doesn’t prevent me from spending quality time with him, nor should it prevent you from maintaining a rich and rewarding relationship with your loved ones.

You honestly don’t need to identify as a psychic medium in order to receive messages of comfort from your loved ones but you do need to be able to self-validate and accept your connections as legit.

Nothing is more disheartening to your loved ones on the otherside than when they move a bunch of energy to send you a message, see you receive the message, then watch as you deny its legitimacy and miss the connection by passing it off or dismissing it as “coincidence”.

Acknowledging the connection by accepting its validity, then sending feelings of love and appreciation in return, delights our loved ones in Spirit to no end.

We’re talking about some ways to do exactly that in this months Inspiration episode. Watch below:

There are many ways to keep connected with your loved ones in Spirit. Here are the 5 ways I like to keep in touch with mine (summarized from the video):

  1. Think of them and send love.
  2. Do things you would’ve done together.
  3. Go places you would’ve gone together.
  4. Cook or go out to eat foods you both loved.
  5. Do stuff you know they would’ve wanted you to do.

You can do this anytime and in fact, the more you do it, the stronger your connection will feel.

I hope you enjoy this process immensely!

Til next month xoxo <3

How To Create Your Own Luck

Happy March, #DuCrew!

That’s the current nickname in my head for friends, fans and family of Allison DuBois LOL

I hope the month is going well for you so far!

adore March; it’s my birth month! Not only that, it’s right next to the Spring Equinox, which always makes me think of cleansing, renewal and fresh energy coming in.

Plus, there’s the international celebration of St. Patricks Day, occasionally filled with green beer and bad choices we hope “the luck of the Irish” will see us through. What’s not to love?

Get Lucky

“Luck” is my inspiration this month and I’m wondering if you believe in it? Specifically, do you believe we create our own luck or that some people are indeed just more “lucky” than others?

Do we CREATE? Or is it FATE?

I’m talking about it in this months episode:

Merriam-Webster defines ‘luck’ as “success or failure apparently brought by chance rather than through one’s own actions.”

I think it’s interesting (and comforting) that both “success” and “failure” are mentioned in Luck’s definition, suggesting that it could be considered just as “lucky” to experience failure as it is to experience success. #thingsthatmakeyousayhmm

Here’s What I Know

Luck is essentially the seizing of opportunities.

Opportunities to experience and verify what you believe to be true will always present themselves.

If you believe you’re someone who regularly experiences opportunities for great success, then you will.

Likewise, if you are convinced you’re someone who frequently experiences obstacles (usually just when you thought you were getting ahead!), then you will.

One of my favorite mindset nuggets is:

“Obstacles are Opportunities in disguise”.

How you perceive and respond to challenges determines much of how events will unfold for you over a period of time.

Here’s How to Create Your Own Luck

  1. Define Success. What does it really look and feel like to you?
  2. Think about it a lot.
  3. Write a list of the people, places, things or ideas which feel most aligned with your vision of “success”.
  4. Find ways to invest your time and energy into being around them more often.
  5. When opportunities to experience even more of them show up, say YES and follow through.
  6. Rinse and Repeat.

Obstacles to fully seizing certain opportunities will arise at times, either from within yourself or due to external circumstances.

If and when that occurs, remind yourself “obstacles are opportunities in disguise”; the Universe is leading you in the right direction for your Highest Good, so just go with it.

The more you do, the luckier you’ll feel.

Meet Jaena + 5 Ways to Slay Your Self-Care

Hey Loves!

I’m Allison’s friend, Jaena Moynihan. I was so excited when she invited me to join you on her site to share a few of my inspirational nuggets with her community! We’ve known each other for years and there’s a lot of love between us, so what better time to start than February, the month of Love itself?! <3

I’ve had the pleasure of serving a variety of clients over the years in my work as a psychic medium, intuitive coach, reiki healer and tarot card reader.

I frequently get asked questions about love and relationships and at least part of the answer to many relationship concerns revolves around taking a stand for yourself through increasing self-care.

Sometimes “life happens” and we lose our way, finding ourselves thrown completely off-center and desperately needing to ground, focus and address our core-level needs more.

In this little video, I’ll share with you the five main things I focus on to get re-centered and start slaying my self-care game again. Here’s the rundown:

1. Make “me time” non-negotiable.

When something feels truly non-negotiable in your mind, you’ll prioritize it. You’ll get very resourceful and find creative ways to make it happen. If you don’t fill your own cup up first, you won’t be able to give your best to others so ample doses of “me time” need to be on the non-negotiable list.

2. Say more nice things to yourself.

You’re good enough. You’re smart enough. And doggone it, people like you! LOL

Seriously, poor self-talk is damaging on so many levels so if you’re feeling low, start by lightening up on yourself and being more generous with the kudos for small wins.

3. Eat more healthy stuff.

You don’t have to go to extremes; just put in more of the stuff you know is healthy and you’ll naturally want less of the stuff that isn’t.

4. Move your body more days than not.

I consider this “me time” and for me, it just means doing at least 30 minutes of stuff that makes me break a sweat at least 4 days a week. That could be different for you but if for some reason you fall short of any of your goals, remember step 5…

5.Forgive yourself, quickly.

You’re going to slip and fall off track at times and the sooner you can say, “I love you; I’m sorry; Please forgive me.” (based on H’oponopono) to yourself, the easier it’ll be to get back on your self-care game.

I hope you enjoyed this! I’d love for you to connect with me on Facebook and comment on how you like to slay your self-care. If you’d like to dive deeper with more divine love lessons, join my free #DivineLove Challenge!
